El Hiwar El Tounsi Channel Recalls Correspondent from AFCON Morocco Coverage

Media sources reported that the correspondent for 'El Hiwar El Tounsi', Hamza Tayachi, was recalled to Tunisia this Wednesday as part of a disciplinary procedure.


According to the same sources, the channel's management decided to withdraw his accreditation for covering the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco, replacing him with another journalist.


This decision follows the correspondent's broadcast of what was described as false information regarding the conditions of the match between the Tunisian national team and Uganda at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.


Tayachi had claimed during a live intervention that there was a power outage affecting journalists, but a widely circulated video showed that the broadcast was intentionally filmed from a dark angle, sparking widespread controversy over the credibility of the information provided.
